Life
is one long challenge. It is through the challenges of life that
we learn - and it is never too late to learn. Throughout Britannia,
people are discovering their talent for learning and doing, and
are having fun!
Perhaps you're thinking
about getting a qualification for the first time - you might have
decided to improve your basic skills like reading and writing, or
perhaps you're planning to return to learning after a period out
of education or after being at home concentrating on bringing up
a family. Maybe you've decided to go for a career change or promotion
and you need a new qualification or skills to get where you want
to be.
Learning does not just
mean studying for qualifications or to improve job opportunities.
It can cover a whole range of mind expanding and physical opportunities.
Learning can develop new, update old or build on current skills.
bsUlearn can help YOU achieve your learning objectives. By contacting
bsUlearn today, we can help you choose when, how and what you learn.
Our aim is very simple:
to guide you in your learning decisions, find the right course for
you, and support you all the way.
During the first two years of the project over 700 members of Britannia staff took advantage of new opportunities to learn. bsUlearn provided everything, from Nail Art and Beauty, to Basic Food Hygiene and IT. Over 350 people also took the opportunity to update their Literacy and Numeracy skills in line with the National Tests.
We have a dedicated and well trained group of Union Learning Representatives (ULRs) who are waiting to help you find the course you are interested in, at a time and place convenient to you.
Whatever you are interested in contact your local ULR today and see what they can help you achieve. A full list of ULR contact details are on Britnet – Employment & Training>>bsUlearn.
Some courses are only available to Union members. If you are not already a Britannia Staff Union member, take action today to ensure you are able to take advantage of all future bsUlearn courses. |
